One of the latest imports from Spain, Pata Negra’s Acorn fed Black Iberian Ham has maintained the ancestral tradition of curing hams close to fifty years in southern Spain, Los Pedroches Valley. Breeding free range, purebred, Black Iberian pigs, Pata Negra pays close attention to the pigs diet (consisting mainly of acorns) and exercise regiment. All of this ensures a ham excellent in quality, texture and taste. Pata Negra’s Acorn fed Black Iberian Ham has a slightly fibrous texture and subtle, salty flavor. Depending on the cut of the Iberian Ham, the color can range from a deep red to a light pink, with fat marbling, ensuring a palatable experience.
